Falling in love with mother earth TNH

Mindful words from Thich Nhat Hanh encouraging deep listening, (or in this case, reading).

Why fall in love with a car when you can fall in love with the living things that produced the oil that keeps the cars running, that gives us paper, warmth etc. etc. The tree. The woodland Trusts mission to plant one million trees for the Queens Jubilee this year, is met by news that the new high speed2 rail link is likely to run through numerous pristine, and ancient woods and forests. These old trees are established eco systems for myriads of creatures, its well known now that biodiversity is good for the planet, so if these old trees were to be cut down the creatures that inhabit them would find it hard to survive, new saplings would possibly take decades to establish a viable habitat and shouldn't be expected to act as replacements. Old trees are special. Click on the link below to view more on this subject and how you can help.
